Oops He Did It Again

This photoshoot draws inspiration from the controversy surrounding Bratz dolls, particularly the backlash in 2007 over their hypersexualized portrayal to young children. Moreover, the dolls’ iconic and exaggerated look reflects toxic beauty standards in Asia, where women are pressured to appear doll- like and extremely thin. I want to critique these unrealistic beauty ideals, addresses deeper issues of pedophilia and reveal the trauma experienced by young girls who face sexual harassment & abuse.
